Things to Do in Fuerteventura: Complete 2026 Guide

Endless white beaches, water sports, Isla de Lobos and the wild Jandía peninsula — your guide to Fuerteventura.

Beaches & water sports

Fuerteventura has the best beaches in the Canary Islands — kilometre-long stretches of white sand and turquoise water. Corralejo dunes are the most famous, but Sotavento beach on the Jandía peninsula is spectacular for kitesurfing. The near-constant trade winds make this Europe's top wind sports destination.

Isla de Lobos day trip

A short ferry from Corralejo, Isla de Lobos is a tiny volcanic island and nature reserve with hiking trails, a lagoon and empty beaches. Daily visitor numbers are capped so booking ahead is essential. The crossing itself often passes dolphins and pilot whales.

Cofete & the wild west

The Jandía peninsula's western tip is one of the most remote places in the Canaries. The off-road track to Cofete beach is an adventure in itself — dramatic mountains meet wild Atlantic surf. A 4x4 tour is the way to do it safely and see the hidden viewpoints along the way.
