Timanfaya National Park, César Manrique masterpieces, wine country and the best beaches on the island.

Timanfaya & the fire mountains

Timanfaya National Park is the reason most people visit Lanzarote — a surreal landscape of volcanic craters and coloured earth. The coach tour includes geothermal demonstrations where water turns to steam in seconds. Add a jeep safari to reach areas the buses don't cover.

César Manrique's Lanzarote

The artist and architect shaped Lanzarote more than anyone. His former home built inside volcanic bubbles (Jameos del Agua), the Mirador del Río viewpoint and the Cactus Garden are unmissable. Knowing his story transforms the entire island visit.

La Geria wine country

Lanzarote's vineyards are unlike any others — single vines planted in pits of volcanic ash (picón) to retain moisture. The Malvasía wine is excellent and most bodegas offer tastings. Combine with a trip to the green lagoon at El Golfo or Papagayo beaches.
